So, are we in a recession?  Just how bad does it have to get before the Bush Administration declares we are in a recession?  It is amazing that things have gotten this bad and our government is not aggressively working to try and assist it's people.  I watched C-Span yesterday and was amazed at the rangling that went on.  Everything had an political agenda.  I am so disgusted.  We have obscenely high gas prices, which are increasing the cost of EVERYTHING, the housing market is definitely in the skids and unemployment is rampant.  Now nature is also rebelling with the fires here on the West Coast, the flooding in the Midwest and a heatwave on the East Coast. 

I wish someone in our Congress and Senate had the courage to say STOP and outline what is actually happening in this country.  In the sessions of Congress and Senate I watched everyone talk AROUND what is happening today.  Whenever a person (usually a democrat) would begin to address the issues, someone would yell out Point of Order to interrupt.  What the hell was that all about? 

I don't pretend to fully understand the workings of our government.  However, I can see when we, the American people, are being shafted by a major corporate conglomerate and financial institutions and I'm tired of it.  I am definitely voting this November and hope to see some positive results.  It won't be quick but I feel that there well steps to take our country back in the right direction.
